Cyprus has countless routes waiting to be discovered. Trails through forests, mountains and gorges, paths along the coast, historic bridges and beautiful landscapes that are often so close to us, yet we may never have had the opportunity to explore.
With this philosophy, Salonica View presents its new “Explore Cyprus” series, a new collection of organised excursions focusing on hiking, nature and exploring Cyprus.
What is Explore Cyprus?
Explore Cyprus was created for those who love nature and adventure and want to discover Cyprus in a different way: on foot!
Through organised hiking excursions in different parts of the island, we will discover natural landscapes, trails, forests, mountains, coastlines, historical sites and hidden gems together.
Each route will offer a different experience, with experienced guides, good organisation, safety and responsibility, allowing participants to enjoy exploring and connecting with nature.
And to launch Explore Cyprus, we have prepared three completely different hiking experiences!
28 August | Full Moon Hiking – Cape Greco
Our first excursion takes us to Cape Greco for a special evening hike under the light of the full moon.
We begin by enjoying the sunset and, as darkness falls, continue our route under the moonlight.
During the hike, we will make stops for photos, while participants will also enjoy a small treat.
A different summer experience combining sea, nature, sunset and the full moon in one of the most beautiful landscapes in Cyprus.

13 September | Persephone Trail – Troodos
In September, we head up to Troodos to walk one of the beautiful trails in the area, the Persephone Trail.
This excursion is about more than just hiking. Along the route, we will have the opportunity to learn more about the local flora and fauna, discover some of Cyprus’ endemic species and highlight the importance of protecting our natural environment.
A beautiful experience in the heart of the Troodos nature, combining hiking, exploration and environmental awareness.
Participation fee:
€15 with your own vehicle
€25 with organised transportation to/from Nicosia
€2 from each participant’s fee will be donated to Terra Cypria.

27 September | Along the Trails of the Venetian Bridges
Our third excursion takes us to a different side of the Cypriot countryside.
We hike along the trails of the Venetian Bridges, through forests, rivers and places of historical importance, with the impressive Tzelefos Bridge as our destination.
A full-day excursion combining nature, history and hiking, giving us the opportunity to discover yet another unique part of Cyprus.
Participation fee: €25 per person
After the hike, there will be an option to enjoy lunch in the village of Arsos.
