Salonica View Travel Agency is organizing a beautiful hiking excursion to one of Cyprus' historic Venetian bridges, the Tzelefos Bridge.
A few words about our trip:
We will depart in the morning from Nicosia (Agios Stylianos Church, Strovolos), with boarding stops in Kofinou and Limassol. We will head towards the village of Agios Nikolaos in the Paphos district before continuing to Tzelefos Bridge. Along the way, we will stop for coffee and a short break.
Our hike begins at Tzelefos Bridge. The route will take approximately 2 hours, including a short rest stop. We will then return along the same trail, which will take another 2 hours. The route offers panoramic views throughout, with changing landscapes and lush vegetation, making it a particularly enjoyable hiking experience.
After completing the hike, we will head to the traditional village of Arsos for lunch.

Points of Interest
Tzelefos Bridge is located at an altitude of 440 metres in the Paphos Forest, approximately 6 km from the Turkish Cypriot village of Agios Nikolaos. It is the largest medieval stone bridge in Cyprus.
The bridge is built over the Diarizos River, which feeds the Arminou Dam. It was constructed during the Venetian period in Cyprus and, together with the Elia Bridge and Routhkia Bridge, forms a complex of Venetian bridges that were built to provide access for the local residents of the area.
Several theories exist regarding the origin of the bridge's name, although none has been officially confirmed. One theory suggests it comes from the ancient Greek word "Kelefos", meaning weak or sick, possibly referring to an incident or person connected with the bridge's construction.
