Points of interest:
The "Gelefou Bridge", is located at an altitude of 440 meters in the forest of Paphos, 6 kilometers from the Turkish Cypriot village of Agios Nikolaos, and is the largest medieval stone bridge on the island. It is also built on the Diarrizos River which feeds the Arminos fence. It was built during the Venetian rule in Cyprus and belongs together with two other bridges (that of Elia and that of Routhkia) to a complex of Venetian bridges that were built to serve the access of the then residents of the area. Various interpretations have been given for the origin of the bridge's name, but none have been confirmed. Perhaps it comes from the ancient Greek word "Kelephos" which means weak, or sick and is associated with some incident or person during its construction.
