Hiking on the path of Xylokopi

The Salonica View alternative tourism office organizes a hike on the path of the Woodcutters in Neo Petritsi Serres.

A few words about our excursion:

We will start by bus from Thessaloniki and at a distance of about one hour and fifteen minutes from our city, we will arrive at Neo Petritsi Serres. The starting point of our hike starts from the north side of the village of Neo Petritsi. At the beginning of our route, we will hike on the path of Xylokopi which is one of the oldest paths of eastern Belles. During our route, we will have an impressive panoramic view. We will return along the "Water Path", having the opportunity to make a short stop to see the Sultanitsa Waterfall. We will then descend towards Neo Petritsi on a route with low vegetation and pine trees. We will end up where we started our hike. In the end, we will have time for coffee, food and rest in the village.

Route Features:

a) Degree of difficulty: Level 2 - Moderate

b) Hiking duration: 4-4.5 hours

c) Distance: 6-7 km.

** Relatively good physical condition is required

Participation fee:

22 euros/person by bus.

Note 1. When you click to book, state in the message where you will take the bus from. The options are Voulgari (Everest), Aristotelous (Statue of Venizelos) or One Salonica. E.g. Statue of Venizelos

Note 2. In case of cancellation of the event due to bad weather conditions, the excursion is moved to another date. Participants unable to participate on that date will be refunded. However, if again the weather conditions do not allow the event to take place, the event is permanently canceled and everyone is refunded. In case of cancellation by the participants, 7 days or less before the date of the event, the money is not returned.

Note 3. Photographic material is shared on our page and social media after each event. By participating in a Salonica View event, you also accept the sharing of photos. Otherwise, please let us know.

Note 4. For the best functioning of the event and safety reasons, participants must comply with the instructions of the attendants.
