The Salonica View team organizes skiing in the Pierian Mountains at the Elatochori ski resort.
A few words about our excursion:
We will start early in the morning from Thessaloniki and after about 1:30 hours we will arrive at the Elatochori ski resort in the Pierian Mountains. The Pierian Mountains are located northwest of Olympus and are a forested mountain that spreads across three prefectures, Pieria, Kozani, and Imathia. The Elatochori Ski Resort is located on the northeastern side of the Pierian Mountains, at the "Papa Chorafi" location, and at an altitude of 1450m. It is located in a privileged location with a spectacular view of Olympus and Aliakmonas.
The facilities of the Ski Center include 10 slopes with varying altitude differences and different degrees of difficulty to satisfy both experienced and demanding skiers, as well as beginners who are trying out their abilities in the most popular winter sport for the first time. There is also a snowboard slope and a sledge slope. The total length of the slopes and the network of snow tracks that connect them exceeds 12,000 m.
At the base of the Ski Center, there is a new two-story chalet, which is distinguished by its modern aesthetics, which harmonizes with the environment. There are also shops selling and renting skiing equipment and supplies and a ski school.
There is a 500m-long snowboard slope. There are also two BABY LIFTs installed, one of which is located at the base of the ski resort, and the second has been installed and operates in the "LITHARISTRA" area, 200 m long, for beginners.
We will have free time for snow games at the ski resort, and at the chalet to enjoy our coffee.
Then, after we depart from the ski resort, we will stop for lunch at a tavern in the area, and then our return to Thessaloniki will follow.
Participation cost:
25 euros/ person by bus (activities at the ski resort/ food, coffee and other drinks are not included)

NECESSARY EQUIPMENT
– Mountaineering boots
– Hiking poles
– A small backpack for personal items on hikes.
– Hat-Gloves
– Waterproof windproof jacket
– Water bottle (at least 1.5 liters)
– Dried fruits, energy bars-chocolate-dried nuts-pasteli-toast
– A change of clothes that you will leave on the bus in case they get wet
Note 1. When you click to make a reservation, state in the message where you will take the bus from. The options are Voulgari (Everest), Aristotelous (Venizelos Statue) or One Salonica.
Note 2. In case of cancellation of the event due to bad weather conditions, the excursion will be transferred to another date. Participants who cannot participate on a specific date will be refunded. However, if the weather conditions again do not allow the event to take place, the event will be permanently canceled and a refund will be made to everyone. In case of cancellation by participants, 7 days or less before the event date, the money will not be refunded.
Note 3. Photographic material is shared on our page and social media after each event. By participating in a Salonica View event, you agree to the sharing of photos. Otherwise, please inform us.
