The Salonica View team organizes a one-day hiking trip to the Bathres of Metamorfosis in Naoussa to welcome the summer with a dip in a beautiful place.
A few words about our excursion:
at a distance of about an hour and a quarter from Thessaloniki near the forest and agricultural lands of the communities of Giannakochori and Rodochori of the prefecture of Imathia, we come across the settlement of Metamorfosis, a village a few kilometers away from 3-5 Pigadia. We will hike through a shady forest, between tall beech trees. Also on our route, we will see pedestals with crystal clear waters and wonderful waterfalls. There will also be time for a bath for those who wish. On the trail, we will have the opportunity to see the tunnel through which the British Decauville train passed, which carried timber until 1921. After the end of our hike, we will board the bus and head to Saint Nikolaos Naoussa where we will have free time for lunch and coffee. From there, after a day full of wonderful memories, we will take the road back to our beautiful Thessaloniki!

Hiking duration: 4 to 4:30 hours with stops
Distance: 8 km.
Degree of difficulty: 1-2 (easy-moderate route)

- *** Second socks, there is a high chance they will get wet.
Note 1. When you click to make a reservation, state in the message where you will take the bus from. The options are Voulgari (Everest), Aristotelous (Statue of Venizelos) or One Salonica. E.g. Statue of Venizelos
Note 2. In case of cancellation of the event due to bad weather conditions, the excursion is moved to another date. Participants unable to participate on that date will be refunded. However, if again the weather conditions do not allow the event to take place, the event is permanently canceled and everyone is refunded. In case of cancellation by the participants, 7 days or less before the date of the event, the money is not returned.
Note 3. Photographic material is shared on our page and social media after each event. By participating in a Salonica View event, you also accept the sharing of photos. Otherwise, please let us know.
