Hiking in the Bathres of Metamorfosis in Naoussa

The Salonica View alternative and sports tourism office organizes a one-day hiking excursion to the Bathres of Metamorfosis in Naoussa.

A few words about our trip:

at a distance of about an hour and a quarter from Thessaloniki near the forest and agricultural lands of the communities of Giannakochori and Rodochori of the prefecture of Imathia, we meet the settlement of Metamorfosi, a village a few kilometers away from 3-5 Pigadia. We will hike through a shady forest, between tall beech trees. Also on our route we will see pedestals with crystal clear waters and wonderful waterfalls. There will also be time for a bath for those who wish. On the trail we will have the opportunity to see the tunnel through which the British train Decauville passed, which transported timber until 1921. After the end of our hike we will board the bus and head to the city of Naoussa. There we will have free time for rest, food and coffee. From there, after a day full of wonderful memories, we will take the road back to our beautiful Thessaloniki!

Hiking duration: 6-7 hours (with stops: for photos, rest and bath)

Distance: 8 km

Degree of difficulty: 1-2 (relatively easy route)

** Relatively good physical condition is required

*** Suitable for children: 10+ (must be accompanied by an adult)

Note 1. When you click to book, state in the message where you will take the bus from. The options are Voulgari (Everest), Aristotelous (Statue of Venizelos) or One Salonica. E.g. Statue of Venizelos

Note 2. In case of cancellation of the event due to bad weather conditions, the excursion is moved to another date. Participants unable to participate on that date will be refunded. However, if again the weather conditions do not allow the event to take place, the event is permanently cancelled and everyone is refunded. In case of cancellation by the participants, 7 days or less before the date of the event, the money is not returned.
