The Salonica View team is organizing a one-day excursion with hiking and swimming at the Itamos and Saint Koris waterfalls, Vrontos, Olympus.
A few words about our excursion:
From the church of Saint Kori, we will start our hike by taking a beautiful circular route of approximately 4 km through the forest and we will end up at the beautiful Itamos and Saint Koris waterfalls, where we will dive into the crystal clear waters that create small and large platforms. Most of our route is in the shade with rich vegetation and beautiful landscapes. Our bus will be waiting for us at the parking lot of Saint Koris, where we will then have time for lunch and coffee in the village of Vrontos.
Saint Kori
The pilgrimage site of Saint Koris is located at the foot of Olympus, at 4 km. from the village of Vrontou at the bottom of a dense gorge with rich vegetation that we reach by descending 180 steps. According to local tradition, Saint Kori was a beautiful girl from the Ioannina region whom Ali Pasha wanted to take into his harem. Holding the icon of the Virgin Mary in order to escape, she fled to Olympus in the area of Palia Vrontou. There at the bottom of the ravine, she died of cold and hunger. Next to the lifeless body, holy water gushed out and the residents built a small chapel in her memory around the tree. Because no one knew her name, they called her Saint Kori. Her memory is celebrated on the day of the Holy Trinity.

*** Second socks, there is a high chance that they will get wet.
Note 1. When you click to make a reservation, state in the message where you will take the bus from. The options are Voulgari (Everest), Aristotelous (Venizelos Statue) or One Salonica. E.g. Venizelos Statue
Note 2. In case of cancellation of the event due to bad weather conditions, the excursion will be transferred to another date. Participants who cannot participate on the specified date will receive a refund. However, if weather conditions still do not allow the event to take place, the event will be permanently canceled and everyone will receive a refund. In case of cancellation by participants 7 days or less before the event date, the money will not be refunded.
Note 3. Photographic material is shared on our page and social media after each event. By participating in a Salonica View event, you agree to the sharing of photos. If not, please let us know.
