The Salonica View team organizes a hike on the "hidden" paths of Chortiatis on a beautiful and easy route through black pine and cutting of the New Year’s cake.
A few words about our excursion:
Our meeting point will be the antennas of Chortiatis http://bit.ly/3xv24GC. The Salonica View team bears no responsibility for the movement and transportation of participants by car.
Initially, for about 1km, the route we will follow moves on a road, until we enter a path and face the stunningly beautiful landscape of black pine, discovering the unknown beauties of Chortiatis! As we climb up, we will also face a panoramic view of our beautiful Thessaloniki.
Our route will continue to the shelter where we will have the opportunity to stop for rest, food, coffee, or even a rakomelo by the fireplace (food/drinks are not included in the price). We will continue the last part of the hike in a straight line on the forest road to the point where we started (antennas).
An easy hike, aimed at hikers and nature lovers with basic physical condition. Also suitable for children over 10 years old.
*The cutting of the New Year’s cake will take place either at the shelter or at a tavern in the village depending on the number of participants and the availability of places!
Specifically:
• Total length of the route: 9 km. (circular)
• Total elevation gain: 248 meters
• Total hiking time (with stops): 2.00 – 3.00 hours
• Difficulty level: 2 (scale 1 – 5, good physical condition)
• Suitable for children: 10+ (accompanied by a parent/guardian is required)

- Second shirt, socks, a small towel (change of clothes)

- Camera (optional)
Note 1. In case of cancellation of the event due to bad weather conditions, the excursion will be transferred to another date. Participants who cannot participate on a specific date will receive a refund. However, if the weather conditions still do not allow the event to take place, the event will be permanently canceled and everyone will be refunded. In case of cancellation by participants, 7 days or less before the event date, the money will not be refunded.
Note 2. Photographic material is shared on our website and social media after each event. By participating in a Salonica View event, you agree to the sharing of photos. If not, please let us know.
Note 3. For the best operation of the event and for safety reasons, participants must comply with the instructions of the attendants.
