The Salonica View team organizes a trip to the theater of ancient Solon and then a swim at Omega Beach at the Lower Tower of Tulleria.
A few words about our trek:
Our trek will start from Nicosia and the Handicraft Center. We will head towards the Astromeritis barricade and end up at the historically priceless Theater of Solon. We will continue our route to reach Lower Tower Tullerias where we will have free time to eat and swim at Omega Beach before departing for our return to Nicosia.
Theater of Solon:
The theater of Solon was built on the northern slope of the hill very close to the sea. The archaeological site of the city of Solon is located on the top and on the slopes of a large and imposing hill in the location of Palia Chora, overlooking one of the most picturesque and fertile valleys of northwestern Cyprus, between the communities of the River of Kampos and Karavostasi and very close to the famous ancient mines of copper in Fukasa, the Homeric Vukasa and in Mavrovouni.
The Theater of Solon was excavated in 1929 by the Swedish Archaeological Expedition. It is dated to the end of the 2nd century or at the beginning of the 3rd c. AD Since then it has been permanently abandoned, and its elaborate building material, consisting of chipped limestone, was used for the later buildings of the early Christian city.

Note 2. For the best functioning of the event and for safety reasons, participants must comply with the instructions of the attendants.
Note 3. In case of cancellation of the event due to bad weather conditions, the excursion is moved to another date. Participants who are unable to participate on that date will be refunded. However, if again the weather conditions do not allow the event to take place, the event is permanently canceled and everyone is refunded. In case of cancellation by the participants, 7 days or less before the date of the event, the money is not returned.
