The tourist office of alternative tourism Salonica View organizes Kayaking and Hiking in the artificial lake Dipotamos in Skarinos.
A few words about the Kayak route:
We will gather at Dipotamos lake in Skarinou in the province of Larnaca. There our kayaks will be waiting for us with all the necessary equipment (life jackets, paddles). After getting ready and having a short lesson, we will start paddling in the lake. The combination of the green landscape around the dam creates the perfect setting for an unforgettable kayaking experience. If you are a lover of adventure and nature, the magnificent landscape that unfolds before you is worth capturing in your memory. The duration of the activity is 1 hour.
A few words about the hiking route:
Our hike will start from Lake Dipotamos. Together with the trainer of our group, we will walk parallel to the lake and explore the area. During the hike, we will have the opportunity to enjoy the calm waters of the lake and the green landscape. The duration of the activity is 1 hour.
A few words about Dipotamos lake:
Lake Dipotamos is located east of Lefkara village and north of Skarinou. The lake is artificial and was built in 1985 to collect water with a capacity of 15,500,000 cubic meters of water. The view is panoramic and beautiful, especially in winter and spring. The species of fish that live in the dam are the Coonoupieris, Perch, Redfish, Seabass, Catfish, Carp, and Sunfish.

We will be divided into 2 groups of 8 people. Each group will go through both activities.
*at the end of the event there will be a picnic (for rest and relaxation from the activities)

Note 1. For the best functioning of the event and for safety reasons, participants must comply with the instructions of the attendants.
Note 2. In case of cancellation of the event due to bad weather conditions, the excursion is moved to another date. Participants unable to participate on that date will be refunded. However, if again the weather conditions do not allow the event to take place, the event is permanently canceled and everyone is refunded. In case of cancellation by the participants, 7 days or less before the event date, the money is not returned.
