We celebrate World Animal Day in Machairas - Family outing with hiking & meeting the goats

The Salonica View team is organizing a special family outing to Machairas to celebrate World Animal Day.

A few words about our event:

The meeting point will be at the Mantra tou Kampiou in Machairas, where we will all meet to start our hike. We will enjoy an easy hike, approximately 1.5 km and lasting 45 minutes. We will have the opportunity to get to know the goats of the area up close, observe them, feed them with guidance and of course take beautiful photos with them. At the same time, the children will have fun in a creative painting workshop on the theme “The goat of Machairas” and will play the game “What animal am I?”. At the end, we will all enjoy a traditional snack/brunch with halloumi, bread, olives, fruit and juice or water.

Time: 45 minutes

Difficulty Level: 1 (Easy)

Ideal Trail for: Families with children 4–12 years old
Pushchair: yes in most places (small gravel sections).

If applicable: inform about children's allergies at the time of booking

Participation fee:

Child: €12 (activities + snacks)

Parent: €8 (participation + snacks)

Animal safety & welfare

1. Careful, calm behavior around animals
2. Feed only with food provided by the attendant
3. Mandatory hand washing after contact
4. We do not approach young goats without permission/attendant
