The Salonica View team organizes a two-day excursion and visit to Platres, the village of Prodromos, a guided tour of the Troodos Geopark, and a workshop to create an authentic palouze in the village of Arsos.
Day 1 - Saturday
Our route will start from Nicosia (Cypriot Handicrafts Center). We will head to the Troodos Geopark. There we will have the opportunity for a guided tour and viewing of a video about the World Geopark Troodos which explains how the mineral wealth of Troodos was formed and emerged from the depths of the ocean. Then we will go to Prodromos for rest and food. Then we will board our bus and head to the village of Platres and our hotel ''The Forest Park Hotel'' to settle in our rooms. There will be time to rest. In the afternoon we will go hiking to the waterfall of Millomeri. Our hike will start from Platres. At the end of the hike, there will be free time in the village.
Day 2 - Sunday
After we wake up and enjoy our breakfast we will get ready to leave the hotel. We will head towards the village of Arsos. There we will have the opportunity to watch and participate in a palouze-making workshop. The workshop includes making palouzes, which will show us how to make paloozes and how to bake them. Until the palouse is ready, the participants will make the dough and make cookies. In the end, the participants will be treated to hot palouze, cookies, sujiukko regelia (porto), and kiofterka. Afterward, there will be free time to eat and rest before returning back to Nicosia.

Note 1. For the best functioning of the event and for safety reasons, participants must comply with the instructions of the attendants.
Note 2. In case of cancellation of the event due to bad weather conditions, the excursion is moved to another date. Participants unable to participate on that date will be refunded. However, if again the weather conditions do not allow the event to take place, the event is permanently canceled and everyone is refunded. In case of cancellation by the participants, 7 days or less before the date of the event, the money is not returned.
