The Salonica View team is organizing a two-day excursion to the coastal village of Lower Pyrgos.
A few words about our trip:
Day 1:
Our excursion starts from Nicosia and the Cyprus Handicraft Center. We will pass through the Astromeritis checkpoint and stop at Karavostasi. Then we will continue to our final destination, Lower Pyrgos. There we will have time for lunch and then we will settle in at the E.J. Pyrgos Bay Hotel. In the afternoon, we will walk on the Saint Tillyria trail, a cool and beautiful trail in nature. In the evening, free time for a walk and rest.
Day 2:
On Sunday, our day will start with breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast, after checking out of our rooms, we will depart from the hotel to visit the traditional village of Pigaenia, where we will learn how charcoal is made in the traditional way! Later, we will take the road back to Nicosia.
Hiking A Few Words:
Our hike will start in the village of Pigaenia. The community of Pigaenia is located in the Tylliria region, which is a mountainous peninsula of Cyprus in the northwestern part of the island between Chrysochous Bay and Morphou Bay. The community of Pigaenia is a combination of mountain and sea with a magnificent and panoramic view. The village took its name from the shrub “peanon” or “peganon” (peganum harmala), which is a medicinal and dye plant that grows in the area. During our route through the village, we will have the opportunity to see the impressive stone fountains, from which all households were supplied with water. We will have the opportunity to enjoy a panoramic view of Morphou and our route will be circular.

Note 1. When you click to make a reservation, state in the message where you will take the bus and the room you choose (single or double).
Note 2. For the best operation of the event and for safety reasons, participants must comply with the instructions of the escorts.
Note 3. In case of cancellation of the event due to bad weather conditions, the excursion will be transferred to another date. Participants who cannot participate on the specified date will receive a refund. However, if weather conditions still do not allow the event to take place, the event will be permanently canceled and everyone will be refunded. In case of cancellation by participants 7 days or less before the event date, the money will not be refunded.
Note 4. Photographic material is shared on our website and social media after each event. By participating in a Salonica View event, you agree to the sharing of photos. If not, please let us know.
Note 5. The guides have the right to adjust the stops of the excursion and the program depending on the time available, without omitting important points of interest.
Note 6. Cancellation Policy: In case of cancellation less than 48 hours before the event or a no-show, you will be required to cover the full cost of your participation. This policy applies to cover operating expenses and reservations that have already been made.
