Two-day excursion to Akamas - Paphos - October 25 & 26

The Salonica View team is organizing a special two-day trip to the magnificent Akamas, one of the most beautiful natural treasures of Cyprus. We will enjoy the sunset in Gerakopetra overlooking Akamas Bay and walk along the legendary Aphrodite's Path, considered one of the most beautiful walks on the island. An excursion that combines nature, relaxation and experiences that we will remember for a long time.

Day 1: Saturday, October 25

Departure in the morning from Nicosia (Cyprus Handicraft Center) with intermediate boarding stops in Kofinou and Limassol. Our first stop will be in Saint Paraskevi Geroskipou, where we will have time to rest and make a pilgrimage. Then we head to our hotel in the Drousia community, where the rooms will be arranged and we will have some time to relax. In the afternoon we will enjoy a hike in Inia. The trail starts from the village and leads us to the location Gerakopetra, where we will enjoy the magnificent sunset overlooking the bay of Akamas. The route is linear, approximately 3 km. After the hike, return to the hotel for rest, food and free time in the evening.

Day 2: Sunday, October 26

After a hearty breakfast at the hotel, we will check out of our rooms and set off for a day of getting to know the nature of Akamas. With our bus we will head to the Baths of Aphrodite, the most mythical location of Akamas, where the famous Aphrodite circular path begins. Our 7.5 km hike through the lush Akamas Forest offers unique points of interest:

Baths of Aphrodite – the place where, according to mythology, the goddess took her bath.

Tower of Regina – ruins of a medieval monastery that hides a mystery.

500-year-old Oak – an impressive tree-symbol of strength and endurance.

View – magnificent panoramic view of Cape Arnaoutis, Polis Chrysochous and the Paphos Forest.

The trail follows an upward course towards the hill known as Moutti tis Sotiras. The route is of moderate difficulty, however, it is accessible to those in good physical condition and offers an unparalleled reward in images. After completing our hike there will be free time for rest and lunch in Latchi. Then we will take the return route, via the main highway, full of beautiful moments and memories of Akamas.

-> 110 euros per person (accommodation in a triple room in a hotel, including breakfast and dinner, limited number of rooms available)

Note 1. When you click to make a reservation, state in the message where you will take the bus and the room you choose (single or double or triple).

Note 2. For the best operation of the event and for safety reasons, participants must comply with the instructions of the attendants.

Note 3. In case of cancellation of the event due to bad weather conditions, the excursion will be transferred to another date. Participants who cannot participate on the specific date will be refunded. However, if the weather conditions still do not allow the event to take place, the event will be permanently canceled and everyone will be refunded.

Note 4. Photographic material is shared on our page and on social media after each event. By participating in a Salonica View event, you agree to the sharing of photos. Otherwise, please inform us.

Note 5. The guides have the right to adjust the stops of the excursion and the program depending on the time available, without omitting important points of interest.

Note 6. Cancellation policy: in case of cancellation less than 72 hours before the event or your failure to appear at the activity/excursion, you will need to cover the full cost of your participation. This policy applies to cover operating expenses and reservations that have already been made.

If the cancellation is made 19 to 10 days before, 50% of the amount paid is refunded.

For cancellations submitted less than 9 days before departure, no refund is provided.
