The Salonica View team is organizing a Pilgrimage to the Monastery of Apostle Andrew.
A few words about our pilgrimage:
Our route will start from Nicosia, we will stop to board the Pascal in Larnaca and then we will head towards the Pergamon checkpoint through Pyla. We will pass through our occupied villages of Prastio and Stylloi. Then we will continue next to the sea coastline to reach Bogazi Famagusta where we will make a stop-rest for about 1 hour. Then we will continue our route and end up at the Monastery of Apostle Andrew for a pilgrimage. On the way back we will have time for lunch in Rizokarpaso at a Greek Cypriot tavern.
About the Monastery of Saint Andrew:
The Monastery of Saint Andrew is a monastery located just south of Cape Saint Andrew. It is dedicated to the Apostle Andrew and is one of the most important religious sites in Cyprus. The traditional story of the founding of the monastery says that, during a journey to the Holy Land, the ship carrying Saint Andrew went off course and hit the rocks at the cape. When he reached land, the Apostle struck the rocks with his staff, causing a spring to spring up. The waters proved to have healing powers and restored the sight of the ship's captain who had been blinded in one eye. The site subsequently became a place of pilgrimage. The church of the main monastery dates back to the 18th century, while the main buildings were built 100 years later. The monastery of Apostle Andrew celebrates on November 30, but because on this date the weather is already wintery, and because in the past pilgrims traveled with animals for many days in order to visit the monastery, it also celebrated on August 15, when one of the largest festivals in Cyprus was held.

Salad, potatoes, and appetizers are included along with 1 soft drink.
Important note:
The food menu we announced is valid based on our last communication with the restaurant. However, there may be minor changes on the part of the restaurant, depending on availability or the conditions of each excursion.
We confirm the final food options and prices via personal communication before each excursion.

Note 1. When you click to make a reservation, state in the message the package you choose (and food choice if your package includes food) and where you will pick up the bus from.
Note 2. For the best operation of the event and for safety reasons, participants must comply with the instructions of the escorts.
Note 3. In case of cancellation of the event due to bad weather conditions, the excursion will be transferred to another date. Participants who cannot participate on a specific date will be refunded. However, if the weather conditions still do not allow the event to take place, the event will be permanently canceled and everyone will be refunded. In case of cancellation by the participants, 7 days or less before the event date, the money will not be refunded.
Note 4. Photographic material is shared on our page and on social media after each event. By participating in a Salonica View event, you agree to the sharing of photos. Otherwise, please inform us.
Note 5. Cancellation Policy: In case of cancellation less than 48 hours before the event or a no-show, you will be required to cover the full cost of your participation. This policy applies to cover operating expenses and reservations that have already been made.
