Hiking on the ''Persephone'' trail in Troodos

The Salonica View team is organizing a one-day hike on the nature trail, Persephone, in Troodos, in a winter setting.

A few words about our excursion:

Our route will start from the Cyprus Handicraft Center in Nicosia and we will head towards Troodos Square. From Troodos Square, we will start our hike on the Persephone trail. The route passes through forests that if we are lucky will be covered in snow, with the icy air filling our senses. Every step we take along the trail will transport us to a world of tranquility and magic, enjoying the purity of the air and the quiet of the forest. After our hike is complete we will have free time for lunch and rest at Kakopetria. That's where we will cut the New Year's pie.

Persephone Trail

A very impressive trail with excellent views where the hiker passes through a dense black pine forest and with an excellent view of the location Makria Kontarka. Throughout the entire distance, the trail offers you unique views and at intervals passes through beautiful clusters of trees and lush vegetation. It is an easy trail of approximately 1-2 hours suitable for beginners as well as children over 8 years old accompanied by their parents.

Starting point: 150m south of Troodos Square towards the Police Station.

Participation cost (per person):

20 euros (transport, hiking, organization)

The price includes:

1. Guide and organization

You must bring:

1. Good sports shoes or mountaineering shoes (if you have them)
2. Mountaineering pants or leggings
3. Second shirt, socks, a small towel (change of clothes)
4. Warm clothes

7. Backpack
8. Waterproof jacket (mandatory)
9. Hat, sunglasses, sunscreen (optional)
10. Tissues
11. Trekking pole (optional)
12. Camera (optional)

Note 1. For the best operation of the event and for safety reasons, participants must comply with the instructions of the guides.

Note 2. In case of cancellation of the event due to bad weather conditions, the excursion will be transferred to another date. Participants who cannot participate on a specific date will be refunded. However, if the weather conditions still do not allow the event to take place, the event will be permanently canceled and everyone will be refunded. In case of cancellation by the participants, 7 days or less before the event date, the money will not be refunded.
