The Salonica View team organizes a one-day excursion and hike on the Dyo Mouttes - Pavliades path.
A few words about our hike:
Our route will start from the Cypriot Handicrafts Center in Nicosia and we will head towards the Kionia excursion site. Our hike will start at approximately 2km from the Kionia excursion area, heading towards the village of Vavatsinia. The route is circular, 3.5km, and is characterized as a path of moderate difficulty. The duration of the route is estimated at 1-1.5 hours. The trail is located on the slopes of the mountains offering panoramic views the entire way. At the end of our hike, we will have time to rest and eat in Vavatsinia.

Starting point: Kionia – Vavatsinias road (2km from the Kionia picnic area)

Points of interest:
Panoramic view: We will enjoy the view toward the areas of Nicosia, Larnaca, and Limassol.
Endemic oak: The area where the path is located has a peculiarity in relation to the rest of the Machira Forest since it is covered with the endemic oak (Quercus alnifolia).
The name "dyo mouttes": refers to the two peaks of the mountains that exist on the path where they are also viewpoints offering a panoramic view of the surrounding areas.

Note 1. When you click to book, state in the message where you will take the bus for your departure.
Note 2. For the best functioning of the event and for safety reasons, participants must comply with the instructions of the attendants.
Note 3. In case of cancellation of the event due to bad weather conditions, the excursion is moved to another date. Participants who are unable to participate on that date will be refunded. However, if again the weather conditions do not allow the event to take place, the event is permanently canceled and everyone is refunded. In case of cancellation by the participants, 7 days or less before the date of the event, the money is not returned.
Note 4. Photographic material is shared on our page and social media after each event. By participating in a Salonica View event, you also accept the sharing of photos. Otherwise, please let us know.
