About the Excursion:
The Salonica View team invites you to a one-day hiking adventure to the highest peak of Cyprus – the Artemis Trail, followed by a BBQ at the Platania picnic site. We will depart from Nicosia, specifically from the Cyprus Handicraft Centre, and with our experienced guide we will set off for the Artemis Trail, located 300m from the junction of Chionistra – Troodos – Prodromos. The trail is a 7 km circular route around the peak of Mount Olympus (Chionistra, 1850m altitude), offering breathtaking panoramic views in all directions. It is truly a “top” experience, combining two trails, one of which is the Artemis Trail itself. In some areas, the route runs parallel to the Atalanti Trail, coming close at several points. The path is mostly easy with minimal inclines, except for a short uphill stretch of about 200–300 meters after the Ski Resort. After our refreshing hike, we will head to the Platania picnic site to enjoy a delicious BBQ. Refueled with energy, full of beautiful images from our hike, we will then return to Nicosia.
