Salonica View is organizing a beautiful day trip to Kyperounda, with a guided tour of the village, a leisurely stroll and a festive mood, to walk, learn, relax and enjoy the atmosphere of the season.
A few words about our excursion:
We depart in the morning from Nicosia and the Center of Cypriot Handicrafts to Kyperounda. Our first stop will be a visit to the Holy Basilica of Saint Arsenios Cappadocian for a pilgrimage. Then we will find ourselves in the center of the village, where locals will welcome us and our tour of the most beautiful places in Kyperounda will begin. From the center of the village we will all walk together to the Chapel of the Holy Cross for a pilgrimage and along the way we will go to the Church of Saint Marina. There there will be time to present to us the history of the village, its main points and what makes it special. Then there will be a visit to the Museum of Natural History and Traditional Life for a short tour and acquaintance with the history and old objects of the place. At the end, there will be free time to walk around the Christmas Village of Kyperounda, with houses, crafts, sweets, music and a festive atmosphere. We close the day with a leisurely coffee in the village and return to Nicosia.
Points of interest:
The Church of Saint Marina in Kyperounda is located in the center of the village and is one of its most characteristic points. Its stone, three-aisled and wooden-roofed architecture highlights the traditional identity of the area.
Holy Basilica of Saint Arsenios of Cappadocia – Kyperounda
An impressive, modern church in Kyperounda, dedicated to Saint Arsenios of Cappadocia, where a sacred relic of the Saint is also kept. It stands out for its architecture and is an important pilgrimage center for the mountainous region.
Chapel of the Holy Cross – Kyperounta
A small chapel dedicated to the Holy Cross, built in a quiet spot near the settlement.

Note 1. For the best operation of the event and for safety reasons, participants must comply with the instructions of the escorts.
Note 2. In case of cancellation of the event due to bad weather conditions, the excursion will be transferred to another date. Participants who cannot participate on the specific date will be refunded. However, if the weather conditions still do not allow the event to take place, the event will be permanently canceled and everyone will be refunded.
Note 3. Photographic material is shared on our page and on social media after each event. By participating in a Salonica View event, you agree to the sharing of photos. Otherwise, please inform us.
Note 4. Cancellation policy: in case of cancellation less than 72 hours before the event or your failure to appear at the activity/excursion, you will be required to cover the full cost of your participation. This policy applies to the coverage of operating expenses and reservations that have already been made.
Note 5. The guides have the right to adjust the stops of the excursion and the program depending on the time available, without omitting important points of interest.

UPDATE ON ALL OUR EXCURSIONS:
Four days before the excursion, usually on Wednesday, all participants are officially informed whether the excursion will take place.

- the weather conditions,
- as well as other organizational factors.
