The Salonica View team organizes a one-day hiking trip on "The Loumata of the Eagles" trail in Amiantos (Troodos). Come and experience a unique hiking experience in nature, with the scent of spring and Easter! “The Loumata of the Eagles” is one of the most beautiful and cool trails in Troodos. We will cross a beautiful hillside along the river, full of lush vegetation.
A few words about our excursion:
Our excursion will start from Nicosia and specifically from the handicraft center. Together with the experienced leader-escort of our office we will begin our adventure on “The Loumata of the Eagles'' trail at the connection point of the main road of Down Amiantos - CWC Camp. The trail we will cross has a beautiful slope and follows a course along the river, through lush vegetation and ends back in the village of Down Amiantos. It passes by the old restored hideout of the NOCF Fighters and the Loumata of Eagles river. At the end of our hike we will board the bus and go for rest and food to Kakopetria and there we will crack our Easter eggs. Then we will hike on a trail in Kakopetria to close our excursion before returning to Nicosia.

A few words about the village of Amiantos
Amiantos is a village in the province of Limassol and is located just a few kilometers before Troodos peak. It is a picturesque village surrounded by greenery, which is crossed by the Kourris river. According to tradition, Amiantos owes its name to the mining of asbestos that took place in the mines of the village.
"The Loumata of the Eagles"
at the beginning of the route there is a nice view towards the area of Kyperounda and the Asbestos Mine, while approximately in the middle of the route you will find the restored hideout of the 1955-59 NOCF fighters. It is worth mentioning that most of the path used to be the route followed by the workers of the Amiantos mine to the surrounding villages.

Note 2. For the best functioning of the event and for safety reasons, participants must comply with the instructions of the attendants.
Note 3. In case of cancellation of the event due to bad weather conditions, the excursion is moved to another date. Participants unable to participate on that date will be refunded. However, if again the weather conditions do not allow the event to take place, the event is permanently canceled and everyone is refunded. In case of cancellation by the participants, 7 days or less before the date of the event, the money is not returned.
