The Salonica View team organizes a special climbing in the valley of the Diarizos river on the Kourtelorotsos rock in Cyprus.
A few words about the area
The Diarizos River is the fourth largest river in Cyprus with a length of 42 kilometres from the Troodos mountain peaks to the village of Kouklia in Paphos. It is the only river in Cyprus that flows all the time, storing 20% of the waters of the dams of Cyprus. The river heads of Diarizos can be found in the village of Milikouri in the area of Kykkos and the other on the slopes of the village of Lemitho. The river has created a fertile arable in most of the valley planted mostly with citrus trees. Before the union of the two rivers to create Diarizos at the Tzelefos bridge, there is a large canyon of 11 kilometres in area where one can meet the tallest trees of the island. A dirt road runs alongside the river along its entire length. With the union of the two rivers and the creation of Diarizos, the river follows a course towards the south, crossing the forest of Paphos and ending at the Arminos dam.
Our meeting will take place directly at the starting point of the climb. The duration of the climb will be approximately 3 hours, but this may vary depending on the number of participants.

- Professional climbing instructor (Marios Hadjipetris/ Graduate of Physical Education & Sports, holder of the title Rock Climbing Instructor of England) and specialized executives-insurers

Note 1. For the best functioning of the event and for safety reasons, participants must comply with the instructions of the attendants.
Note 2. In case of cancellation of the event due to bad weather conditions, the excursion is moved to another date. Participants unable to participate on that date will be refunded. However, if again the weather conditions do not allow the event to take place, the event is permanently cancelled and everyone is refunded. In case of cancellation by the participants, 7 days or less before the date of the event, the money is not returned.
