Salonica View is organizing a festive 5-day getaway to welcome 2026 together in the most special way!
An excursion to the heart of Greece, from December 29 to January 2 we will travel to the magnificent Meteora, walk through festive Trikala and the fairy-tale Mill of the Elves, relax next to the magnificent Plastira Lake and experience beautiful moments full of company, smiles and festive mood. An excursion that combines nature, culture and fun – as only Salonica View knows how to organize!
Excursion Schedule
Day 1 – Monday 29/12
We depart from Larnaca by flight to Athens. After arriving at the airport, we will board the bus heading to Karditsa, through a beautiful route via Volos. In the afternoon we will arrive at the Mouzaki Palace Hotel & Spa in Mouzaki. After settling into the hotel and rooms, we will have free time to relax. In the evening, dinner at the hotel.
Day 2 – Tuesday 30/12
We start our day with breakfast at the hotel and depart by bus for the impressive Meteora. We will visit some of the historical monasteries and enjoy our guided tour among the immense and imposing rocks that are a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Then we will go for lunch in Kalambaka. Late in the afternoon, we return to the hotel to rest and end our day with dinner at the hotel.
Meteora: A unique landscape in the world, with monasteries built on huge rocks, combining natural beauty and religious tradition.
Day 3 – Wednesday 31/12
After breakfast, we depart for the festive Trikala, a city decorated for the holidays, with beautiful squares and the Lithaios River running through it. There we will visit the famous “Elves’ Mill”, the largest Christmas theme park in Greece, full of magic, music and games where we will enjoy the festive atmosphere. In the afternoon we return to the hotel to rest and in the evening the New Year’s Eve awaits us with live music, a rich festive dinner and the change of year in an unforgettable atmosphere.
Trikala: A modern Thessalian city with a rich history and hospitable residents.
Elves’ Mill: A fairytale place full of games, activities and Christmas magic for young and old.
Day 4 – Thursday 01/01
On the first day of the new year we enjoy our breakfast and set off for a full-day excursion to Lake Plastira. We will tour the picturesque Neochori and make stops at Kalyvia Pezoulas, known for its beautiful views and traditional hospitality. In the afternoon we continue our excursion to southern Pindos, with a visit to Elati, Pertouli and Neraidochori. It is a combination of snow-capped mountain peaks, fairytale alpine forests, stone bridges and rushing rivers. Late in the afternoon we return to the hotel for rest and dinner.
Lake Plastira: One of the most beautiful natural landscapes in Greece, with villages that hug the shores of the lake and breathtaking views.
Day 5 – Friday 02/01
After breakfast at the hotel, we depart from Mouzaki to Athens, stopping at Kamena Vourla for a rest, a short tour and coffee. We then head to the airport for our return flight to Larnaca, full of images, memories and smiles from a wonderful trip.
Kamena Vourla: A seaside spa town in Fthiotida, known for its thermal springs and beautiful views of the Maliakos Gulf.
