The office of outdoor activities and sports tourism, Salonica View, organizes a one-day excursion and rafting from Thessaloniki to the gorge of the river Aggitis.
A few words about Aggitis:
It is the largest tributary of Strymon with a length of 75 km. Its springs are located in Drama and its gorge extends between the mountains Paggaio and Menoikio with a length of 15 km. The river crosses part of the prefecture of Drama and Serres. Also, its cave is the largest (fluvial) cave in the world with 11 kilometers and the largest in Greece.
Detailed program:
07:30 - Departure by bus from Thessaloniki (Statue of Venizelos - Aristotelous Square)
09:00 - Arrival in the village of Symvoli, Serres
09:30 - Start of rafting
14:30 - End of rafting
15:00 - Stop for food
17:00 - Departure for return to Thessaloniki
18:30 - Arrival in Thessaloniki

Note 1. For the best operation of the event and for safety reasons, participants must comply with the instructions of the escorts.
Note 2. In case of cancellation of the event due to bad weather conditions, the trip is postponed to another date. Participants who can not participate on this date will have a refund. However, if the weather conditions still do not allow the event to take place, the event is permanently canceled and a refund is given to everyone. In case of cancellation by the participants, 7 days or less before the date of the event, the money is non-refundable.
