The Salonica View alternative tourism office organizes a one-day excursion and hikes in the "hidden" paths of Hortiatis, a special route where we will walk through black pine!
A few words about our trip:
Our meeting will be at the antennas of Hortiatis http://bit.ly/3xv24GC. The Salonica View tourism office bears no responsibility for the movement and transport of the participants by car.
Initially, for about 1 km, the path we will follow moves along a road, until we enter a path and face the amazingly beautiful black pine landscape, discovering the unknown beauties of Hortiatis! Going uphill we will see a panoramic view of our beautiful Thessaloniki.
Our route will continue to the refuge where we will have the opportunity to stop for rest, food, coffee, or even a rakomelo by the fireplace (food/drinks not included in the price). We will continue the last part of the hike, in a straight line on the forest road to the point where we started (antennas).
A hike of medium difficulty, aimed at moderately fit hikers and nature lovers. Also suitable for children over 10 years old.
Specifically:
• Total route length: 9 mm (circular)
• Total altitude difference: 248 meters
• Total hiking time (with stops): 3.00 – 4.00 hours
• Route difficulty level: 2 (scale 1 – 5, good physical condition)
• Suitable for children: 10+ (must be accompanied by a parent/guardian)

Note 1. In case of cancellation of the event due to bad weather conditions, the excursion is moved to another date. Participants unable to participate on that date will be refunded. However, if again the weather conditions do not allow the event to take place, the event is permanently canceled and everyone is refunded. In case of cancellation by the participants, 7 days or less before the date of the event, the money is not returned.
Note 2. Photo material is shared on our page and social media after each event. By participating in a Salonica View event, you also accept the sharing of photos. Otherwise, please let us know.
Note 3. For the best functioning of the event and for safety reasons, participants must comply with the instructions of the attendants.
