Walking in the enchanting hazelnut forest in Alona

The Salonica View team organizes a one-day excursion and walk in the enchanting hazelnut forest, in Alona on the Petros Vanezis trail.

A few words about our excursion:

Our route will start from the Cypriot Handicrafts Center in Nicosia and we will head towards Alona. Our walk will start from the main road of Alona village. We will walk the path "Petros Vanezis" and we will get to know the hazelnut forest of Alona through our route. The route is circular, approximately 1.5 km, and the duration of the route is estimated at 1 hour. At the end of our route, we will have the opportunity to see the village with its picturesque neighborhoods, stone-built houses, and its rich vegetation.

Points of interest:

Alona: One of the most beautiful villages of Pitsilia is Alona, a village with picturesque neighborhoods and traditional stone-built houses. A hallmark of all the houses in the village is the existence of arbors that give a special beauty to the landscape.

Path: The path passes through dense plantations of hazelnut, cherry, apple, and almond trees reaching the river (Natura 2000 Area).

Note 2. For the best functioning of the event and for safety reasons, participants must comply with the instructions of the attendants.

Note 3. In case of cancellation of the event due to bad weather conditions, the excursion is moved to another date. Participants unable to participate on that date will be refunded. However, if again the weather conditions do not allow the event to take place, the event is permanently canceled and everyone is refunded. In case of cancellation by the participants, 7 days or less before the date of the event, the money is not returned.
