The Salonica View team organizes a two-day excursion with hiking and cherry picking in an orchard near the village of Agros Limassol
A few words about our trip:
1 Day
Our route will start from the Cypriot Handicrafts Center in Nicosia and we will head to the village of Agros Limassol where we will spend the night. On our way, we will stop in the village of Palaichori for coffee and then we will go to the Rodon Hotel where we will settle in our rooms. After eating our lunch we will do a wonderful hike on the Madari trail and the "Teisia tis Madari" trail. There we will have the opportunity to admire one of the most beautiful sunsets of the island at one of its highest points, at the fire tower. full of wonderful images we will return to the hotel where we will have free time.
Path of Madari
Our hike will start from the location "Glory to God" at a distance of 2 km from Kyperounda. The route is linear and is characterized as a path of moderate difficulty. The duration of the route is estimated at 2 hours. The trail is located at an altitude of approximately 1600m. above sea level on the ridge of Madari. We will end up near the top of Adelfoi, where the fire tower of Madari is also located. The path offers panoramic views climbing the mountain in all directions.

"Tisia tis Madari" trail
The trail is one of the most popular in Cyprus and belongs to the "Adelfoi" forest, just like the Madari trail. Therefore it is equally beautiful in terms of forest vegetation. But what makes it different from the other paths are the steep, huge vertical rocks on one side and the cliffs on the other that form an impressive and at the same time unique landscape.

Altitude of the highest point: 1,580m.
Points of view
The path is incredibly beautiful with certain locations having benches for resting where we will enjoy the wonderful sunset with a view of Mesaoria and the coast of Morphou. The area of Madari has an interesting geology and this is due to its vertical rocks and steep cliffs. There are several places where these rocks are on the side of the cliffs making the view one of a kind.
2 Day
After having our breakfast at the hotel we will go to an orchard to pick cherries (whatever cherries we pick in a bag we will be able to buy according to their weight, price/kilo. We can consume them freely at the time of picking). Then we will go to Kakopetria for lunch and then we will leave for our way back to Nicosia.
---> The bus will drop us off at the starting point of our hike and wait for us at the finish line. From the finish point we will need to walk another 1km to get to our bus.
Cost of participation (per person):
85 euros / person includes: accommodation in a double room at the Rodon hotel with breakfast and transportation by bus.
+30 euros extra/person for accommodation in a single room (LIMITED NUMBER)

Note 2. For the best functioning of the event and for safety reasons, participants must comply with the instructions of the attendants.
Note 3. In case of cancellation of the event due to bad weather conditions, the excursion is moved to another date. Participants unable to participate on that date will be refunded. However, if again the weather conditions do not allow the event to take place, the event is permanently canceled and everyone is refunded. In case of cancellation by the participants, 7 days or less before the date of the event, the money is not returned.
