The Salonica View team organizes a three-day excursion and a visit to Ayia Napa and the free Famagusta, a tour of the CyHerbia botanical gardens in Avgorou, and a hike on the "Prophetis Ilias - Konnos" and "Cavo Greco" paths.

Day 1 - Saturday

Our route will start from Nicosia (Cypriot Handicrafts Center) and we will head towards the community of Avgorou. There we will make our first stop for coffee. Then we will visit CyHerbia Botanical Park where we will have the opportunity for a guided tour and various activities on the grounds of the botanical garden. Then, close to the garden, we will visit Liopetri and the historic Liopetri Barn. In Liopetri there will be free time to eat. Then we will visit the "Big Potato" in Xylofagou. Then we will board our bus to our final destination of Ayia Napa. We will go to our hotel ''Nelia Gardens'' to settle in our rooms. There will be time to rest. In the evening we will all go to a local tavern for dinner.

Day 2 - Sunday

After waking up and enjoying our breakfast, we will prepare for our hike on the path "Profitis Ilias - Konnos". It is a linear path of 8km and ends at Konnos beach. After our hike, we will have free time for food, rest, and coffee in Protaras. The afternoon is free.

Day 3 - Monday

After waking up and enjoying our breakfast, we will prepare for our hike on the "Cavo Greco" trail and then we will depart from the hotel. We will leave our luggage on the bus. The bus will drop us off at the start of our hike. After we finish our hike we will go to a tavern in the village of Xilotympo for food and rest. Finally, full of experiences and new memories, we will leave for our return to Nicosia.

Excursion highlight:

Botanical garden in Avgorou: consists of nine wonderful botanical gardens, a forest in which hundreds of cypress trees form the island of Cyprus, and also the first and only labyrinth in Cyprus. The botanical garden is divided into 9 sections, each with a different theme. As you enjoy your walk you will see plants related to these themes. Herbs have multiple actions and uses and you will see some of them in different sections, e.g. thyme is useful in the bath but also as an aromatic and as a spice.

Liopetri Barn: A stone-built ground floor house, part of which was also used as a barn, on the southeastern edge of the village of Liopetri. It belonged to the farmer Panagiotis Kallis. On this property, a great battle took place on September 2, 1958, between English troops and four EOKA fighters.
